About Catch a Cast
Every great game deserves a great call.
Catch a Cast is South Africa's esports caster marketplace. Organisers find the voice for their tournament in minutes. Casters get discovered for the games they know, booked with a proper brief, and paid directly, with the invoice and deposit handled on the booking.

01 · Why we built it
The scene had the talent. It didn't have the pipeline.
South African esports has casters who can carry a grand final, and tournaments that need them every weekend. What was missing was the bit in the middle: a place to find the right voice for the right game, agree the details, and make sure everyone gets paid.
So we built one. Profiles that show what a caster has actually called. Briefs instead of vague DMs. Invoices issued from the booking, with deposits and payment confirmations both sides can see. It's the boring infrastructure that lets the exciting part happen.

02 · How it works

Browse or post a call
Filter casters by game, genre, language, rate, level and availability. Or post an open casting call with the games and slots you need and let casters apply at their rates.

Send a brief
Pick your dates and hours, describe the event, and send it straight to the caster. Rate cards show day and event pricing up front. Save favourites to a roster for the next one.

Get the invoice
Once the caster accepts, they issue an invoice from their profile: what's due now, whether a deposit is required, and the bank details to pay it to. You pay them directly.

Go live
The caster confirms your payment has landed and the gig goes active. After the broadcast, settle any balance, leave a review, and it's on file for next time.

Follow, connect and message. Verified co-casting credits are built from completed gigs.
Referrals
Can't take a booking? Hand it to a connected co-caster and the organiser gets a fresh request at their rate.

Feedback tied to real bookings, so a rating means a broadcast actually happened. Rate cards put day and event pricing next to it.
Free-cast option
Casters can open up to community and free events to build their profile and their reel.
04 · Getting paid, properly
Invoice, confirm, go live.
Casters set their payment terms before the broadcast, and organisers always know exactly what is due. Each payment is made directly to the caster and confirmed on the booking timeline.
- AcceptThe caster accepts the brief. The rate is locked in.
- InvoiceThe caster issues an invoice and chooses a deposit or full payment.
- ConfirmThe caster confirms the payment reached them, activating the gig.
- CompleteAfter delivery, any remaining balance is confirmed and the gig is completed.
Catch a Cast records these milestones but does not process, collect or hold the funds.
